The Schouten Family. Volume 3

The Schouten Family. I have been friends with Elissa as far back as I can remember. Elissa and her hubby Ben have the sweetest family of there own. I just love seeing them, and I feel so privileged to be able to photograph the family as it grows. Thank you Ben, Elissa, Caleb, Tessa, Abby… and welcome baby Luke, you are one lucky kid!

James and Jen's Wedding

May 1st, 2010. This lovely couple was married in Vancouver B.C. I had the privilege of spending a few hours with them on their special day. Usually when I photograph a wedding I am there for most of the day, but this one was a "mini". Here are a few photos of our little shoot together. Thanks James and Jen for letting me enjoy this day with you!

Brett and Brooke

So, it is always fun to be able to take photos for a friend's wedding, and even more of a treat when I get to be the maid of honor as well. How, you may be asking yourself, do you pull this off? Well, thanks to my sweet and talented boyfriend Josh, we tag teamed this time around and worked some magic. Their wedding took place at one of the romance places in the Northwest, Beau Lodge in Bow Edison, Wa. This place is so dang cute! A moss covered cottage, with a weeping tree and pond in the back, it was extremely charming.. just what they were looking for. The food was awesome too… Brett (the groom) is the Chef at The Fork at Agate Bay out on Lake Whatcom, and we all got spoiled by some amazing catering by their staff. Brooke's elegant dress was bought at Something Blue Bridal. In the "getting ready" photos you will see Brooke getting her hair and makeup done by the ever talented Amber Johnson. Ok, so yes, she is my sister, but pictures speak louder than words and you can see what an amazing job she does! Yes, yes, Brooke is a knockout without all the primping, but everyone deserves special treatment on their wedding day. Seriously though, if you ladies are thinking of booking an event where you would like to be pampered a little, look no further… Amber does a wonderful job, and works on location with me at weddings all the time.
Brooke and Brett, I know that my toast at the wedding was very short, but I do love you guys and wish you all the love, happiness, and blessings in the world. Brooke, I couldn't ask for a better friend than you, I cherish your friendship more than you will ever know! Muah!
